RescueNet ePCR 6.0 is NEMSIS 3 Compliant!

What does that mean for our RescueNet ePCR customers? It means:

  • With your upgrade to RescueNet ePCR 6.0, you will be in compliance with national and state requirements.
  • RescueNet ePCR 6.0 will be released on a rolling basis beginning January 15, 2015, focusing on NEMSIS early adopter states first. Click here to find out the state adoption schedule.

NEMSIS version 3 incorporates new data elements to reflect the growth of medical community’s learning about treating conditions such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.  Version 3 is also an important step towards harmonizing EMS data with patient data in the hospital. RescueNet ePCR 6.0 takes the complexity out of the new data elements and  allows medics to easily capture required data in the field.

Here is a special sneak peek of some of the new features of RescueNet ePCR 6.0 focused on improving efficiency and compliance:

  • Improved state compliance using out-of-the-box state validation rules (schematron)
  • Easier data mapping – mapping is now built in to RescueNet and ePCR administration
  • Supplies – set up supply tracking based on interventions documented in the field

Message from our President:  "We are proud to offer our customers a software solution that is NEMSIS Version 3 Compliant.  With this new version, our customers will be able to meet the new, higher standard of state and national reporting requirements and will be ready to move in to the future of data connectivity between health care providers,” said Alex Moghadam, President of ZOLL - Data Management.

Note: RescueNet ePCR 6.0 is currently in beta. Beginning in January 2015, ZOLL will release the product to customers in Virginia so that those customers can meet state deadline for reporting version 3 data. After the Virginia release, ZOLL will in other states with deadlines in 2015. For more information about NEMSIS 3 and ePCR 6.0 please click here.

Sincerely,
