Important IT information:

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2012 / 2014 Support

    • SQL must be upgraded prior to upgrading ePCR if currently on SQL 2005
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2012 Support
    • Note: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 is no longer supported on v6.0
    • Server must be upgraded prior to upgrading ePCR if currently on Server 2003

NEMSIS 3 updates:

    • One of the main drivers for ePCR 6.0 was to support the new NEMSIS standard; there are several things that have changed in ePCR 6.0 to optimize it for providing NEMSIS 3 data.
    • Many States have now adopted collecting NEMSIS 3 data and it is recommended that you do not upgrade to RescueNet ePCR v6.0 until your state is able to collect NEMSIS 3 data.  The best source for this information is your State data manager, however outside of that the NEMSIS website is another place that has some great information, http://nemsis.org/supportV3/stateProgressReports/index.html.

Some of the cool new functionality:

  • Improved rule wizard – now you get taken directly to where there may be an error in the PCR
  • Easier data mapping – mapping is now built in to RescueNet and ePCR administration
  • Pertinent Negative/Not Values button – now an easy way to mark required data when it isn’t always accessible throughout the PCR
