RescueNet Dispatch-Billing v4.6.1 is Now GA

It is ZOLL’s pleasure to announce that RescueNet Dispatch-Billing v4.6.1 is now available to all customers! The primary intent of this release was to upgrade all RescueNet Dispatch-Billing components to the most currently supported version of our reporting engine, Crystal Reports 2013. This is not a required upgrade and should be carefully evaluated prior to performing the implementation due to the impact of the Crystal 2013 changes.  

If you are currently a RescueNet Billing customer or utilize custom reports on a regular basis, you will need to purchase a version of Crystal 2013 prior to upgrading.  You can download a free 30-day trial to help through the transition process, but it is important to note that you will need a fully licensed version to continue to make modifications to both forms and custom reports once the trial is completed. 

The following action may need to be taken, depending on your business:

• RescueNet Billing Customers - Forms
  • In SAP Crystal 2013, the Crystal Designer has been discontinued.  This capability is currently utilized in RescueNet Administration to allow users to make simple modifications to visual forms without requiring a full version of Crystal Reports. This function will no longer be available once upgraded to RescueNet Dispatch-Billing v4.6.1, for this reason customers will need to purchase a full version of Crystal Reports. 
  • Customers will be required to perform one of the following steps once upgraded to v4.6.1:
    • Import new visual forms from the latest Crystal 2013 forms package
    • Update current forms using Crystal 2013
  • Watch the latest Knowledge 911 video for instructions on how to perform one of these steps to upgrade your forms
• RescueNet Dispatch-Billing Customers - Custom Reports
  • To make future modifications to your custom reports once upgraded, Crystal Reports 2013 will be required.
• RescueNet Dispatch Customers - Mobile Care Connect
  
  • For complete integration between RN Dispatch and ZOLL's new Mobile Care Connect product, RN Dispatch is now able to import attachments into RND from MCC, correctly mapping caller name and phone number, and many other functions.

• Resettable Trip Overdue Timer
  • Dispatchers can now "snooze" the Trip Overdue Timer to a time of their choosing. By right clicking on a trip in the "Trips for Unit" module, dispatchers can click on "Reset Trip Overdue Timer" to fire the notification again in one of the preset time values, or a custom time value of their own.

Important!! Due to compatibility reasons, if using RescueNet Dispatch-Billing and integrated ePCR, customers upgrading to the latest Crystal 2013 versions need to upgrade to the compatible version for both products.  RescueNet Dispatch-Billing v4.6.1 is compatible with both RescueNet ePCR 6.1 (released) and 5.4.4 (in progress), depending on if you are in a NEMSIS v2 or NEMSIS v3 state.
